Master Chorale

New singers must arrange a short audition with Dr. Anna Hamre prior to the beginning of regular rehearsals. In order to know all member voices, arrange for balance and blend, and create optimal musical performance, Dr. Hamre must hear each singer who wishes to become a member. Returning singers complete an informal audition yearly to assess strengths and maintain balance. All returning members are given their seating assignment by their section leader, who listens to the entire section for blend, balance, etc.

Coro Piccolo

Members of Coro Piccolo, organized into an auditioned small ensemble, all come from the Fresno Community Chorus ranks. This smaller group is used when music calls for reduced forces, and also performs as an independent ensemble. It is expected that the members of this small group have excellent music reading skills (so that they can learn their music on their own) in addition to possessing strong ensemble voices of excellent blend.

Auditions for Coro Piccolo, the Fresno Community Chorus small ensemble, will be chosen by separate audition. Once auditions are announced, interested singers can contact Dr. Anna Hamre for an audition time.
